Create Your First Character

Now that you have a profile, you will see the expansive Warmap which includes active territories and your Toolbar across the bottom of your screen. In order to create your character, use your mouse controls to find your way to the barracks.
Click on the barracks location
Find the recruiter sitting at the table and engage with them.
Click on the recruiter
The Create Character modal will appear. Choose your Profile Picture and Class. Your class will determine the items you can equip, battles you can take part in, and base stats. You can not change your Character's class once it has been chosen.
Characters currently cost 3 sROME to create.
The character you create is actually an NFT, which can be traded in the Marketplace at a future date.
Early adopters (profile creation/conscription before Moonriver block 1468465) will get their first character (non-transferrable) free.

How many characters can I create?

Each Profile can have an infinite number of characters, giving players the ability to explore all complexities of Houses of Rome and simultaneously level up multiple characters. If you'd like to create additional characters, head back to the Barracks and follow the recruitment process to expand your warband.

Character Skills

Your character has skills which can be leveled up by gaining Experience Points (XP) for completing tasks in Houses of Rome. These skills determine what items your character can equip, what battles you can take part in, what resources you can harvest, and what items you can craft.
